Designed to meet youth at different stages of veterinary career exploration — from first exposure to advanced learning, mentorship and career path development.
At VMX, youth have the opportunity to participate in one of four distinct Youth Pathways experiences.

Designed for first-time Youth Pathways participants.
Explore foundational areas of veterinary medicine through immersive, hands-on VETlabs.
Learn directly from veterinary professionals working across a variety of career fields.
Discover the range of possibilities within veterinary medicine and animal health.

Elevate
Tuesday, Jan. 19
Designed for students ready to deepen their veterinary career exploration.
(Prerequisite: Youth Pathways 1.0, or current enrollment in a veterinary training program, such as a veterinary assistant or technician program)
Build in-depth skills in veterinary specialties beyond introductory experiences.
Learn directly from professionals working in specialized areas of veterinary medicine.
Begin planning a postsecondary education and career pathway in the veterinary profession.

Designed for students preparing for postsecondary education and professional opportunities in veterinary medicine.
(Prerequisite: Youth Pathways 2.0)
Connect with current veterinary students and learn from their academic experiences.
Develop a curriculum vitae (CV), a long-form professional resume, for future academic, internship and job applications.
Build a plan for the education, experience and professional skills needed to take the next step in veterinary medicine.
